Psychoanalytic Imagination is an introduction to ways of experiencing the creativity of the unconscious and unconscious meanings. It is an interdisciplinary course that will examine psychoanalytic process as expressed in the consulting room and through cultural artifacts (film, narrative, poetry and sculpture). Throughout the course we will be attentive to the role of the body and of language in expressing unconscious fantasy. Works of art and literature will be read alongside classic and contemporary texts of psychoanalysis (Freud, Klein, Winnicott, Lacan, Ferro).
