Become a Psychoanalyst
Our Psychoanalyst Training Program (PTP) is for professionals who want to develop a richer understanding of modern psychoanalytic perspectives and apply it to their own work and personal lives. In four years of twice weekly seminars (60 per program year), a personal training psychoanalysis, in on-going case conferences, and in clinical supervision of three psychoanalysts, our community of students and faculty come together to explore aspects and applications of the psychoanalytic field. Training initially is part-time, and over time becomes fully integrated into one’s career.
The Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center invites those who are interested in becoming a psychoanalyst to contact the Center about the Psychoanalysts Training Program (PTP) at (216) 229-5959. For information about the PTP, call Vera Camden, Ph.D., Chair of Admissions at (216) 407-7931.
On January 17, 2012, The Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center received official accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Psychoanalytic Education (ACPEinc), which is an autonomous not-for-profit accrediting agency that was established in 2001 by The Psychoanalytic Consortium. The Standards of the Psychoanalytic Consortium propose a tripartite model – personal analysis, didactic instruction, supervised clinical work. We will have a site visit in 2022.
